Texas Instruments acquired Chipcon, and the related electronic components produced by Chipcon have a unique advantage, occupying a large share in the transceiver market.Chipcon Products mainly has 1GHz Products and 2.4GHz Products.
CC1000-Single Chip Ultra Low Power RF Transceiver for 315/433/868/915 MHz SRD Band.
CC1000 is a true single-chip UHF transceiver designed for very low power and very low voltage wireless applications.
The circuit is mainly intended for the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency bands at 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz, but can easily be programmed for operation at other frequencies in the 300-1000 MHz range.
The main operating parameters of CC1000 can be programmed via a serial bus, thus making CC1000 a very flexible and easy to use transceiver. In a typical system CC1000 will be used together with a microcontroller and a few external passive components.CC1000 is based on Chipcon’s SmartRF? technology in 0.35 μm CMOS.
CC2400-Low-Cost and Low-Power Single-Chip 2.4 GHz ISM Band Transceiver with Extensive Hardware Features
The CC2400 is a true single-chip 2.4 GHz RF transceiver designed for low-power and low-voltage wireless applications. The RF transceiver is integrated with a baseband modem supporting data rates up to 1 Mbps.
The CC2400 is a low-cost, highly integrated solution enabling robust wireless communication in the 2.4 - 2.4835 GHz unlicensed ISM band. It is intended for systems compliant with world-wide regulations covered by EN 300 440 (Europe), CFR47 Part 15 (US) and ARIB STD-T66 (Japan).
Targeting a wide range of applications at 2.4 GHz, the CC2400 supports over-the-air data rates of 10 kbps, 250 kbps and 1 Mbps without requiring any modifications to the hardware. The CC2400 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, data coding and error detection reducing the workload on the host microcontroller.
The main operating parameters of CC2400 can be programmed via an SPI-bus. In a typical system CC2400 will be used together with a microcontroller and a few external, passive components.CC2400 is based on Chipcon’s SmartRF?-03 technology in 0.18 μm CMOS.
