News on May 6 According to Korean media reports, Samsung Electronics’ Pyongtaek second plant P2 in South Korea will be opened in the second half of this year. In addition, Samsung is also accelerating its investment in the P3 plant P3, intending to put the plant into production three months ahead of schedule.

Advance to before December this year. Yoon said that the global chip is out of stock, and Samsung may plan to let the P3 factory go online three months in advance.

This is the first time that the P3 plant's production schedule has been made public. The current capacity and investment amount of the P3 plant is still unknown. People familiar with the matter believe that the P3 plant may produce memory and conduct foundry. Samsung plans to build six factories in the Pyeongtaek factory.
