STB6000

The STB6000 is controlled by a simple two-wire interface.

The purpose of the STB6000 ASIC is to serve as a highly integrated, low-cost direct conversion tuner IC for digital broadcast satellite (DBS) television applications. It includes various components such as an LNA, down-converting mixers, baseband low pass filters, gain control, on-chip VCO, and a low noise PLL. The wide gain control range of the STB6000 makes it well suited for low symbol rate applications. Additionally, it is designed to minimize the external bill of materials to reduce manufacturing costs and simplify board layout, ensuring greater system reliability and increasing consumer satisfaction. When used together with the STV0299 BPSK/QPSK demodulator IC, it forms a cost-effective complete satellite front end that can seamlessly interface with ST's OMEGA range of set-top box decoders.
