Is the diode in this circuit conducting?

There is a circuit, the book says to remove the diode, and then judge the voltage of Ua Ub to get the status of the diode, how can I find the voltage of these two points?

If the diode is removed for analysis, the voltage at point A is 1V, the voltage at point C is 2.5V, the voltage between CB is 1V, and the voltage at point B is 1.5V, so the voltage between BA is 0.5V, how can it be turned on?

Voltage at point C is 2.5v? ? There is voltage directly on point c.

Analysis circuit

If the diode is removed for analysis,

The potential at point A is 1V,

The potential at point C is 2.5V,

The voltage between BC is -1V,

Vb = Vbc+Vc = (-1)+2.5 =1.5V

So the voltage at point B is 1.5V, then the voltage between BA is 0.5V,

So reverse cutoff.
