Nexperia, a global leader in discrete devices, logic devices and MOSFET devices, introduced its family of constant current LED drivers on the 21st, adding eight new AEC-Q101 compliant devices that can drive currents up to 250mA in low power and medium. Power LED. The 16V NCR32xx and 40V NCR42xx series are available in two package styles: space-saving SOT457 (SC-74) and SOT223 (SC-73); the latter offers higher power capacity up to 1,250mW.

The new LED driver has an accurate, stable output current (10mA) that eliminates the need for an external resistor; if an external resistor is used, the output current can be adjusted to 250mA. The voltage overhead is very low at 1.4V. In order to achieve higher durability, the junction temperature of the driver is tolerated to 150 °C.

Joachim Stange, product manager for bipolar transistor products at Nexperia, said: "Our growing portfolio of LED drivers meets the rapidly growing LED market for automotive, white goods and consumer applications. The new NCR32x and NCR42x series can be connected in parallel, making them ideal for use in Constant current power and automotive applications, including internal and external lighting such as door handles, dashboards, license plates, lights and taillights."

These new LED drivers serve Nexperia's flagship automotive market and will add a portfolio of products to its already extensive AEC-Q101 qualified components.
